Project : Replaced doors, two magnets
Prior to these MRI suite modifications, this facility had machines that were more than 30 years old. The facility had a vintage magnetic/RF design or combination shield with walls nearly two inches thick. As part of this project, IMEDCO removed the front end of the steel structure and replaced it with copper sections to facilitate new technology. Converting these shields required torch, welding and new interfaces.
IMEDCO’s newest patient entry systems were added in the process. These suites now offer the latest in MRI technology.
